About

me

I am Lucy. Born in South Africa and raised in Germany. I am an Aries. Quite a typical one if you believe in zodiac signs. Spicy food is my thing. I suck at math. My favorite childhood memory is eating applesauce with my dad and sisters on a rowing boat. I am scared of deep water.

I can't get enough of knitting, photography and my dog Willi - who I adopted from Romania. Berlin has been my home for 4 years now - here I work as a freelance content creator, illustrator and photographer.

Hi

Things I love

Photography

Photography inspires me in every way - it’s the creation of memories, the connection with people, and freezing the moment into a beautiful piece of art. I have several analog cameras and would love to buy hundreds more if I had the space… It all started when I was traveling as I found it super exciting to only decide on one picture during a moment which one I wanted to keep. When looking at the results - sometimes even weeks later - it is such a fulfilling feeling to see the memory cast into a picture.

Fashion

I am madly in love with fashion, especially vintage styling and finding unique pieces. My grandmother inspired me with her art of dressing up and today I feel super alive and happy when doing the same. I like to get inspired with new outfits on Pinterest or Instagram, love living in Berlin as here are a bunch of lovely crazy outfits in every corner and it’s the best place to hunt for vintage pieces. I am also creating my clothes by myself as I have an apprenticeship as a dressmaker and found my passion in knitting and crocheting.

Travel

Since I turned 18 I have loved traveling the world. New countries, their people, food, and nature inspire and fulfill me. I have worked as a flight attendant for a year and am super grateful for being able to spend some time within beautiful countries while working. Since I have my dog Willi, I got into van life and spend most of my trips now in nature with my VW T4 Siggi. During my trips, I take analog photos as memories of all the people I meet and the stunning nature around me.
